Bryant Sharpe Becomes H. J. Russell & Company’s First Director of Preconstruction

H. J. Russell & Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Bryant Sharpe from Senior Preconstruction Manager to Director of Preconstruction

In his new role, Bryant will manage a team of preconstruction managers and estimators. He will oversee project planning, preconstruction processes, estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, and the development of client proposal packages.

“I am excited to see Bryant move into this position as a longtime Russell employee,” said Michael Swick, vice president of construction, at Russell. “Bryant has demonstrated a strong understanding of estimating, logistics, and scheduling. He has also implemented innovative software platforms that allow Russell to provide exceptional preconstruction services for our clients.”

In addition to working with his team, he works closely with project executives and general superintendents to provide support in buyouts, project logistics, and cost forecasting.

“I have a deep passion for working with our trade partners and creating a true partnership to get projects off to a great start,” said Bryant. “I work hard to motivate my team and lead by example with enthusiasm and an emphasis on being detail-oriented. I believe our attention to detail with preconstruction activities is what leads to our overall success.”

Bryant has more than 17 years of preconstruction experience where he has evaluated constructability, established project budgets, created and solicited invitations to bid, received and evaluated contractor bids, provided value engineering options, and performed quantity take-offs. He has provided these services on many verticals, including K-12, higher education, government buildings, assembly halls, amphitheaters, stadiums, and affordable and student housing.

Originally from Kannapolis, NC, Bryant graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering. He currently resides in Covington, GA.
