Apr 29 H. J. Russell & Company’s Roswell Library Project Receives Prestigious AGC Build Georgia Award
Recently, H. J. Russell & Company, along with joint venture program manager CBRE | Heery and other project members, were awarded the 2020 Associated General Contractors of America’s Build Georgia Award for the exceptional design of the Roswell Public Library. The newly renovated library competed in the “design/build under $5 million” category.
Renovations to the Roswell Library are part of the Atlanta-Fulton County Library System’s Library Capital Improvement Program, which encompasses the renovation of 23 library branches as well as the downtown Central Library System Headquarters.
“We are extremely proud to receive this award,” said Gayle Hunter Holloman, Executive Director, Fulton County Library System. “Creating this space was truly a team effort which brought together the most experienced designers, contractors, architects, and program managers; all of whom were committed to providing the best library for the community.”
“The goal during the renovation process was to develop a space where families could gather and be comfortable,” said Liz Hausmann, Fulton County District 1 Commissioner. “The new Roswell Library front entrance enhances walkable connectivity to vibrant downtown Roswell. The design team on this project played an integral role in creating an accessible and innovative space that will be enjoyed by the community for generations to come.” Discover more here.
