Apr 14 H. J. Russell & Company in Joint Venture Selected to Provide Program Management Services for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
H. J. Russell & Company (Russell), along with joint venture partner AECOM, was recently selected to provide civil airside program and construction management services for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This effort will support DFW’s long-term Civil Airside Master Plan and near-term strategies that reinforce its emphasis on customer experience.
“DFW has always been at the forefront of airports in innovation, efficiency and customer service, and our team at H. J. Russell will continue to build upon that legacy with this new contract,” said Michael B. Russell, Sr., CEO, Russell. “We have had a long and positive relationship with DFW Airport on their many capital projects over the last 20 years, and we are excited to continue to build upon our value-added role with them through the recent selection of our team as civil airside program and construction managers. Our airport experience, joined with our JV partner AECOM, one of the leading aviation program management consultants, makes for a solid and exceptionally capable team to get the job done.”
The Russell and AECOM joint venture, called “Airfield Management Partners,” will deliver planning and programming, preliminary design, procurement, design management, pre-construction, construction management, and closeout services on a delivery order basis for all phases of airside project development. These projects may include rehabilitation, improvements, and enhancements to infrastructure such as runways, taxiways, utilities, security, signage, airfield support facilities, and airport transit systems.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with DFW and are ready to play a key role in keeping this airport at the forefront in global aviation,” said Bryan Jackson, Vice President of Program Management Russell. “The joint venture of H. J. Russell and AECOM is the right team for this program, and we are committed to delivering an unparalleled level of service.”
DFW is one of the most frequently visited super-hub airports in the world. Centered between the owner cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, it serves as a major job generator for the North Texas region by connecting people through business and leisure travel.
Russell has an impactful history of performance at DFW, including such work as the Terminal Renewal Improvement Program (TRIP). Currently, Russell is working alongside joint venture partners Archer Western and Phillips/May plus PGAL to construct Terminal C, comprised of five new prefabricated modular gates, which will have a 20 percent savings in the overall project schedule.
