ATLANTA (March 18, 2025) – H. J. Russell & Company’s (Russell) growth strategy includes a focus on mission critical construction projects with a concentration on data centers. A part of that strategy is to build a comprehensive team of leadership to manage the work. Today Russell announces the promotion of Andrew Jacobsen from senior superintendent to project executive within their mission critical vertical.

In his new role, Jacobsen is responsible for the overall performance of the projects within the mission critical sector at Russell, ensuring there’s solid coordination between the project executive and the superintendent to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of high-quality projects. “Andrew is a valuable member of our team, and his expertise in data center operations and skills in team building will significantly contribute to our goal of becoming leading data center builders,” says Clinton Kurtz, Vice President, Mission Critical, Russell. “His ability to coordinate and develop cohesive teams has fostered a collaborative work environment that drives innovation and excellence. Before joining Russell in 2024, Jacobsen played a pivotal role leading field team for one of the nation’s leading data center builders, where he consistently delivered projects on time and within budget, ensuring key milestones were achieved to the customers satisfaction.

Originally from Seattle, Jacobsen has managed projects across multiple regions and markets throughout the country, gaining comprehensive experience with construction systems in various climates. With nearly 23 years of construction experience, he’s served a variety of industries, including data centers, warehouses, senior living campuses, multi-family, healthcare and commercial throughout the West, Midwest and East Coast of the United States.
Jacobsen is currently based in northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C.
