Over the years, there’s been an increase in water tunnels across the U.S. to solve so many water problems, from drought to pollution, flooding or storm surge. In Atlanta, H.J. Russell & Company, in a joint venture with PC Construction, is delivering construction management at-risk (CMAR) services to build what “may be the longest tunnel of its kind and only the third in the U.S. to be delivered under CMAR.” At the project’s completion, there will be a $2.4B-gallon raw water storage facility providing emergency drinking water for up to 90 days for the city.
