H. J. Russell, as a joint venture partner, is spearheading the development of an 80-megawatt, 260,000-square-foot data center within Midlothian’s Railport Business Park, situated on a 375-acre site just 25 miles southwest of Dallas. As one of the largest facilities of its kind nationally, this state-of-the-art center will benefit from local tax abatements and represent a substantial boost to the community.

The construction phase is set to generate numerous job opportunities, while the operational phase will create approximately 40 full-time positions, including roles for computer technicians, engineers, and support staff in food services, maintenance, and security.

This data center will be pivotal in enhancing global digital infrastructure, enabling faster and more reliable service delivery and highlighting Midlothian’s growing importance in the technology sector. With a targeted completion in December 2024, the project is expected to generate at least 50 full-time jobs in the coming years, marking a significant step forward in regional economic development.
