Oct 12 We Made It! It’s a Worthy Celebration
On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, City of Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Department of Watershed Management Commissioner Kishia L. Powell, PC/Russell Joint Venture team members, and others gathered to celebrate “Driller Mike’s” five-mile milestone of the Water Supply Program.
In September 2016, the tunnel boring machine—named “Driller Mike”—began the five-mile trek to connect the former Bellwood Quarry, Chattahoochee River and Hemphill Water Treatment Plant.
